### FOUNDING STORY

Amir and Insiya met at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London - he came from architecture and engineering, she came from Stanford and Apple. They shared the same frustration: plastic works, but it never goes away. So they built a material that does everything plastic does, then disappears.

Soon they had their first customer and their first order – then an electrical fault burned their workshop to the ground overnight. They climbed through the wreckage, cleaned what they could salvage and delivered the order, only three weeks late.

Throughout the journey, people told them it wasn't possible, manufacturers pulled out mid-production, but every time, they kept going.

What started as two people in a lab is now a team of scientists, engineers, designers and manufacturing specialists, all driven by belief in the same thing.

Today, SHELLWORKS has produced over eight million parts. VIVOMER isn't the alternative to plastic. It's what comes next. And we're not stopping until it's the standard.
